When a pass to İstanbul Fintech Week can be refunded, when it can be transferred to someone else, and what happens if the event changes.
Last updated: 14 September 2026
If you ask to cancel 14 days or more before the first day of İstanbul Fintech Week, we will refund the full amount you paid, including any booking fee, to the payment method you used. The deadline is counted from the event's first day, and your request must reach us before it — a request sent on the deadline day itself counts.
Refunds are processed by Eventbrite. Once approved, the money usually reaches your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Less than 14 days before the event we can no longer refund a pass. By that point catering, badge production and venue numbers are committed on the basis of who has registered.
You are not stuck with an unused pass: you can transfer it to a colleague or anyone else, right up to the moment the event opens. See "Transferring your pass" below.
Changing the name on a pass is free and unlimited, and can be done up until the event begins. Email contact@istanbulfintechweek.com from the address that made the booking, with your order number and the new attendee's name, email address, company and job title. We will reissue the ticket to them and cancel the old one.
A transferred pass keeps the terms of the original purchase, including the refund deadline, which is not restarted by the transfer.
Email contact@istanbulfintechweek.com from the address used for the booking, quoting your order number and saying that you want to cancel. We will confirm in writing and tell you the amount being refunded. If we cannot refund a request, we will say why and set out what we can do instead.
If FNTCH OÜ cancels İstanbul Fintech Week outright, every pass is refunded in full, regardless of when it was bought and regardless of the deadlines above. You do not need to ask.
If we postpone the event to new dates, your pass stays valid for the new dates. If the new dates do not suit you, tell us within 14 days of the announcement and we will refund your pass in full instead.
If the event has to move to a different venue in the same city, passes remain valid and this is not on its own a reason for a refund.
Speakers and sessions are announced in good faith and can change. A change to the programme, including an announced speaker withdrawing, is not a reason for a refund outside the windows above — a pass gives access to the event, not to a particular session or speaker. The full position is in our Terms of Service.
Passes issued free of charge, included in a sponsorship package, or granted by invitation — including invitations to the IFW Leadership Forum — carry no refund value. They can still be transferred to another named person under the same rules as above.
Nothing in this policy affects rights you have under mandatory consumer law. Note that in the EU the standard 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases does not apply to leisure and event services supplied on a specific date — but our 14-day window above gives you an equivalent period in practice.
