Burak Ünaldı started working in financial markets in 1998 and held positions such as capital markets investment specialist and portfolio manager at various brokerage firms and banks. Afterward, he shifted his focus to working with non-governmental organizations and continues to serve as a member of the Advisory Board of the Turkey Spinal Cord Paralytics Association, the Board of Directors of the Ethics Values Center, the TOBB Retail Assembly, and the TÜSİAD Retail Commission. Ünaldı wrote economic articles for GQ and Esquire magazines for seven years, hosted the "Lumbago" program on Rock FM for three years, and worked as a content consultant and co-host on Bloomberg HT's "Ekospor" program for two seasons. He was also part of the delegation representing Turkey in the Young Turkey/Young America program organized by the Atlantic Council, which covered Minneapolis, New York, and Washington DC. Additionally, Burak Ünaldı is a professional musician and one of the founding members of the rock band Gripin. He currently serves as the Secretary General of the Turkiye Federation Of Shopping Centers and Retailers , the umbrella organization for organized retail in Turkey. He also gives lectures on "Retail Ethics" at five universities as part of the "Ethical Leader Academy." In 2016, he gave a TEDx talk in Bursa, and he delivered another TEDx talk in Ankara in 2023. He has been a speaker on stage at more than two hundred summits especially about personal development, customer behaviors and trends, entrepreneurship.
